What data we collect
We collect only the data we need to run your account, meet the rules that apply to licensed gambling and keep the site secure. Most of it comes from you directly, some is created as you use the site, and some reaches us from the partners who handle payments and verification on our behalf.
Account and contact details
- Your name, date of birth and residential address.
- Your email address and, where you give one, a mobile number used for account security messages.
- Your username, your password held in encrypted form, and the security details used to restore access to your account.
- Your contact preferences, including whether you have opted in to marketing and which channels you chose.
Identity and age documents
We hold a gaming licence, so we must confirm that every player is aged 18 or over and is the person they say they are. To do that we ask for documents such as photographic identification, proof of address and, where a payment needs confirming, proof that the payment method belongs to you. We may also receive the outcome of an electronic check carried out by a verification partner. Where the rules require it, we ask about the source of the funds you deposit.
Transactions and account activity
- Deposits, withdrawals, amounts, times and the payment method shown in masked form.
- Your play history, stakes, session times, bonus activity and balance movements.
- Your safer gambling settings, including deposit limits, time-outs and any self-exclusion.
- Messages you send us by email or live chat, and our replies.
Device and usage data
- Your IP address, the approximate location taken from it, and the country you appear to be in.
- Device type, operating system, browser and screen settings.
- Pages and games opened, dates and times of visits, and the actions taken during a session.
- Cookie and similar identifiers set when you use the site.
Why we use your data
We use the data described above for the following purposes.
- To run your account: registering you, letting you log in, processing deposits and withdrawals, recording your play and producing the statements shown in your account.
- To confirm your age and identity, including the checks we carry out before and after your first withdrawal.
- To prevent fraud, payment misuse, collusion, bonus abuse and money laundering, and to protect other players.
- To meet our legal and licensing duties, including record-keeping, reporting and responding to lawful requests for information.
- To support safer gambling: applying the limits and breaks you set, acting on a self-exclusion and looking at patterns of play that may suggest harm.
- To answer your questions and to look into any complaint you raise with us.
- To keep the site secure and working properly, and to understand in general terms how it is used.
- To send offers, prize draws and product news where you have opted in to hear from us.
Marketing is your choice
You can turn marketing on or off at any time in your account settings or by writing to us. Messages about your account, your transactions, safer gambling and changes to our terms are not marketing and will continue while your account is open.
The legal bases we rely on
UK data protection law requires us to have a legal basis for each use of your data. In plain words, these are the bases we rely on.
| What we do | Legal basis | What that means |
|---|---|---|
| Open and run your account | Performance of a contract | We need your data to give you the account, games and payments you asked for. |
| Age checks, identity and source of funds checks, anti-money-laundering records | Legal obligation | The law and the conditions of our gaming licence require us to carry out these checks and keep the records. |
| Fraud prevention, site security, internal business records | Legitimate interests | We weigh our interest in a safe, working site against your privacy and use no more data than the task needs. |
| Marketing emails and messages | Consent | We send these only if you opted in, and you can withdraw that at any time. |
| Safer gambling measures, including acting on signs of harm | Legal obligation and substantial public interest | Protecting players is part of our licensing duties, and some of this information is treated as sensitive and handled with extra care. |
Some fraud and safer gambling checks start automatically. Where an automated check leads to a restriction on your account, a member of our team looks at the case, and you can ask us to explain the outcome and to have it looked at again.
Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where it is needed for the purposes set out above, and only with the kinds of recipient listed below.
- Payment and banking providers, so that deposits and withdrawals can be processed through the methods shown in the cashier.
- Identity-verification and fraud-prevention partners, who may check the details you give us against their own records and the databases they are permitted to use.
- Technology suppliers who host the site, deliver our emails, run our live chat and provide game content, acting only on our instructions and under written contracts.
- The multi-operator self-exclusion scheme GamStop, so that a registration with the scheme can be matched to your account and acted on.
- Regulators, law enforcement, tax authorities and courts, where the law or the conditions of our licence require us to disclose information.
- Our professional advisers and auditors, and any party that takes over our business, all of whom are bound by duties of confidentiality.
Some of our suppliers process data outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens, we use the safeguards UK data protection law allows, such as approved standard contract terms, so that your data keeps an equivalent level of protection.
How long we keep your data
We keep your data for as long as your account is open, and then for the period that gambling, anti-money-laundering, tax and accounting rules require us to retain it. That period is set by law rather than chosen by us, and it applies even if you ask us to close or delete your account.
Records of a self-exclusion are kept for at least the length of the exclusion and the cooling-off period that follows it, so that we can continue to block access. If you ask us to stop marketing, we keep a short record of that request so your preference is respected.
Once no legal or operational reason to hold the data remains, we delete it or hold it in a form that no longer identifies you.
Your rights, cookies and how to contact us
Your rights
- Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction of data that is wrong or out of date.
- Erasure of data we no longer have a legal or operational reason to keep.
- Restriction of how we use your data while a question about it is being settled.
- Objection to uses based on our legitimate interests, and to marketing at any time.
- Portability of the data you gave us, in a commonly used format.
- Withdrawal of consent where consent is the basis we relied on.
To use any of these rights, write to privacy@casino-richyfox.co.uk or support@casino-richyfox.co.uk, or start a live chat on the site. We may ask you to confirm your identity first so that we do not release data to the wrong person, and we reply within the time UK data protection law allows. If we cannot do what you asked, we explain why.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. We would ask you to raise it with us first so we can look into it and put things right where we can.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember your settings, protect the site from misuse and, where you agree, to measure how the site is used and to show you relevant offers. You can accept or refuse non-essential cookies when you first arrive and change that choice later in your browser or in the cookie settings on the site. Our Cookie Policy explains each category in more detail.
