Gambling is entertainment, not a way to make money

Every game we offer is built so that the house keeps a mathematical advantage over time. The money you stake should therefore be treated as the price of your entertainment, not as income or as a way to recover what you have already lost.

Before you make your first deposit, decide what your gambling budget is, in the same way you would budget for a night out:

  • Only stake money you can afford to lose once rent, bills, food and credit commitments are paid.
  • Never borrow, use a credit facility or sell possessions in order to gamble.
  • Decide in advance how long a session will last, and stop when the time is up, whether you are ahead or behind.
  • Do not gamble when you are upset, bored, under the influence of alcohol, or trying to win back a loss.

Over-18s only

Our games are for adults aged 18 or over. Allowing a person under 18 to gamble is a criminal offence. If we find that an account holder is under 18, we close the account, void any winnings and return the deposited balance.

The controls in your account and how to switch them on

You can switch our safer gambling tools on yourself, at any time, from the safer gambling section of your account. You do not need to contact us first, and using a tool does not affect a withdrawal that is already in progress.

ToolWhat it doesWhen it applies
Deposit limitCaps how much you can pay into your account across a set period. As soon as you confirm it.
Loss limitCaps how much you can lose, net of wins, across a set period. As soon as you confirm it.
Session limitLimits how long a single logged-in session can last. From your next login.
Reality checkShows an on-screen reminder of how long you have played and where you stand. At the interval you choose.
Time-outLocks you out of play for a short break you choose.Immediately; it cannot be lifted early.
Self-exclusionCloses your account to gambling for a longer fixed period.Immediately; it cannot be lifted early.

Deposit, loss and session limits

Limits can be set per day, per week or per month, and you can hold more than one at a time, so that a daily limit and a monthly limit work together. Lowering a limit, or adding a new one, takes effect straight away. Raising or removing a limit only takes effect after the cooling-off period shown in your account, and you will be asked to confirm the change again at the end of it.

Reality checks

A reality check interrupts play at the interval you choose and tells you how long you have been playing and what you have staked, won and lost in that session. You then decide whether to carry on or to stop. We suggest keeping one switched on, even if you play rarely.

Time-outs and self-exclusion

A time-out suits a short break: you cannot stake, deposit or open games, although you can still withdraw a balance and contact us. Self-exclusion is for a longer and firmer break. Your account is closed to gambling for the period you choose, you are removed from our marketing lists, and we will not accept a new registration from you while it runs. At the end of a self-exclusion the account stays closed until you ask us to reopen it and a further short cooling-off period has passed.

How to switch a tool on

  1. Log in and open the account menu, or go to the cashier.
  2. Choose the safer gambling section of your account.
  3. Select the tool you want, then the amount or the period.
  4. Confirm. The setting is recorded against your account and shown in your settings.
  5. If you cannot complete a change, contact us on live chat or at support@casino-richyfox.co.uk and we will apply it for you.

If you are unsure where to start, set a deposit limit first. It caps what gambling can cost you before a session even begins.

Signs that gambling may be becoming a problem

No single sign proves there is a problem, but the points below are the ones most often used to spot one. Be honest with yourself as you go through them.

  • You gamble for longer, or with more money, than you intended to.
  • You chase losses, staking more to win back what you are down.
  • You gamble with money meant for bills, rent or other people.
  • You borrow, hide spending or lie to family about how much you gamble.
  • You feel restless or irritable when you try to cut down or stop.
  • You gamble to escape stress, low mood, loneliness or boredom.
  • Gambling is affecting your work, studies, sleep or relationships.

If several of these apply to you, set a limit or take a time-out today and speak to one of the organisations below. Support is free and confidential, whether or not you decide to stop gambling altogether. You can also ask us to close your account at any time by writing to support@casino-richyfox.co.uk.

Where to get free, confidential help

The organisations below are not part of our business. Their help is free, confidential and available across the United Kingdom.

  • GambleAware funds free treatment and prevention work and publishes plain-English advice on gambling, money worries and where to find local support.
  • GamCare provides free counselling, group support and a structured treatment programme for anyone affected by gambling, including friends and family.
  • The National Gambling Helpline offers confidential advice by phone and live chat every day of the year, and can refer you into treatment.
  • GamStop is the free national online self-exclusion scheme: one registration blocks you from all online gambling sites licensed in Great Britain for the period you choose.

We also suggest asking your bank about a gambling block on your card. If you register with GamStop, your access to this site ends for the duration of that registration, and our own self-exclusion sits alongside the scheme rather than replacing it.

Keeping children and other people off your account

Our games are for adults only. We hold a gaming licence for the British market and we verify the identity, age and address of every customer using the documents and electronic checks described in the cashier. We may ask for these at registration, before a withdrawal or at any point afterwards, and we may suspend play until the checks are complete.

Children can reach an adult's account through a shared device. These steps reduce the risk:

  • Keep your password and payment details to yourself, and do not save them in a shared browser.
  • Log out fully when you finish, rather than simply closing the tab.
  • Use a separate device profile or screen lock from the one children use.
  • Install parental control or content-filtering software, which can block gambling sites on a device or across a home network.

Your account is for you alone. You may not let anyone else use it, and you remain responsible for all play that takes place on it.
